Kiera Christina Knightley was born in the year 1985 on 26th of march. She was born in England in a family that was greatly involved in both the theater and television. Her father Sharman McDonald was a well known award winning playwright while her mother; Will Knightley was involved in the theater as well as taking her role as an actor on some television programs. She started acting while at a very tender age, as young as the age of six where she was involved in a few of the locally produced film.

In the 1990s, Knightly was involved in several television programs and movies which helped her to jump start her career as an actor. In the year 1999, Kiera Knightley was able to secure a part in the popular movie known as the star wars which was a science fiction movie where she played the character of Natalie Portman. Knightley got her first starring role in the year two thousand and seven in the television program called the Robin Hood, whereby she played the role of the Robin Hood’s daughter. In august 2002, Knightley got her big break through in the film industry when she got featured in the film known as bent it like beckham. This was a huge success in that the film made millions of dollars in the first year of release. After her appearance in the film bent it like beckham, she was enrolled in a big budget action film known as the pirates of the Caribbean; the curse of the black pearl. In these films, Knightley was able to work besides big actors in the film industry such as Johnny Depp. In the year 2003, this film was announced to one of the biggest hits of that year.

After doing all this films, Kiera Knightley profile as an actress grew tremendously as she was also got a part in a romantic comedy film known as love actually and soon after these she was in another film known as King Arthur which was not as successful as the previous films. Knightley was involved in several television programs such as the one called the pride and prejudice. Due to all the films and TV programs, Kiera Knightley profile as an actress grew tremendously are she continued to appear in the pirates of the Caribbean series that follow after the first one.

Kiera knightley is also well known for supporting human rights and thus she is the face of amnesty international campaign for human rights. She takes her role in raising awareness of the violation of human rights in general. There is still more expected to come from Kiera knightley in the future.
